Terma Romania is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our innovative Space team.

As part of the Electrical Ground Systems Center of Excellence, the Technical Project Manager will support the core business across one or multiple application areas, being accountable for project implementation, planning, execution, and delivery of customer projects within the Terma Space Business Area.

Technical responsibilities:

• Network architecture and implementation at CCNA level
• Installation and configuration of Windows and Linux operating systems, including underlying system and architecture components
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.) for automating system installations, configurations, and operational workflows
• Ability to write clear documentations related to design and test procedures

How you will make a meaningful contribution

Project management responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading teams to deliver projects that span across one or more application areas.
• Define projects scope, goals and objectives, create work plans and timelines, monitor and report progress against targets.
• Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to quality and guidelines throughout the project/program life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
• Have the authority to run the program/projects on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case or management plan.
• Works creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
• Provide support in the tender process
• Liaise with relevant departments (Delivery, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Excellence, etc.) and other internal and external stakeholders
• Evaluate project performance and take corrective measures in case of deviations from the target
• Ensure that project execution is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field
• Proven track record of successful project and/or team leadership
• Excellent command of English

Nice to have:

• Project management certifications (PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
• Basic interest and foundational know-how in Cyber Security
• Experience with rack design and implementation
• Familiarity with ESA standards
• DevOps skills including CI/CD pipeline design and operation, using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Ansible etc
• Understanding of software development processes and lifecycle
• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, or similar IAM systems
