Empathy Talent is working with one of their top Partners to deliver high-level expertise to a leading global Financial services .


The Role

This role centers on the technical evolution and governance of the organization’s primary Azure DevOps platform. You will serve as a key subject matter expert, architecting scalable CI/CT/CD solutions and establishing standardized frameworks that enable secure, high-velocity release cycles across multiple development teams.


Position & Logistics Setup

This is a try/hire position based in Sweden operating on a Hybrid basis. The initial contract term is for 6 months with the option to move permanently to the client. Please note that a project freeze period is in effect during the month of July, during which the consultant is expected to be on leave.


Candidates must be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.


Key Responsibilities

  • Platform Development: Drive the continued evolution and maintenance of the Azure DevOps platform, ensuring it meets enterprise-grade requirements.
  • Pipeline Engineering: Build and maintain scalable, YAML-based CI/CT/CD solutions utilizing Managed DevOps Pools to support diverse development streams.
  • Governance & Policy: Define and enforce technical policies, governance models, and lifecycle controls to ensure consistent, secure, and standardized platform usage.
  • Strategic Enablement: Act as an advisor to development teams, architects, and internal platform organizations to integrate security and test automation directly into delivery workflows.


Required Experience & Skills

  • Azure DevOps Specialization: Minimum of 4 years of documented, hands-on experience configuring, customizing, and extending the Azure DevOps platform.
  • DevSecOps Expertise: Proven ability to embed security and automated testing as core components of the delivery lifecycle.
  • Agile Proficiency: Experience working within structured Agile environments, preferably utilizing the SAFe framework.
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to act as a collaborative partner, bridging the gap between technical teams and stakeholders such as Product Owners and Solution Architects.


Technical & System Requirements

  • Core Tooling: Advanced proficiency in YAML, Git, PowerShell, and C#.
  • Integration: Experience managing package management, feeds, and integrating security scanning tools (e.g., source code security scanning) into pipelines.
  • Cloud & Containerization: Familiarity with Azure cloud services and container platform management is highly valued.
