Country Engagement Director, Sweden

Right People Group
Sweden · Full-time · Director

About The Job

We are looking for a commercially driven and growth-oriented Country Engagement Director, the primary revenue driver for RPG in Sweden. You will own the Swedish market commercially: building and developing enterprise client relationships, generating consulting assignments across the full RPG portfolio, and driving yearon-year gross profit growth.

The role is predominantly focused on direct selling (75–100%). You will be an experienced, high-energy commercial professional who is energised by owning results, working with significant autonomy, and building a market. As the Swedish business grows, you will have the opportunity to lead a small team of sales professionals.

This is a hands-on commercial role with a strong focus on driving sales, winning new clients, and growing the Swedish business.

The role reports to the Regional Engagement Director for Norway, Finland, Sweden, Rune Rasen (based in Norway), as part of his commercial leadership team.

Sweden is a stable, high-quality IT consulting market, estimated at €11–12 billion annually, with strong structural demand from cloud adoption, AI, cybersecurity, defence technology and core system modernisation. Enterprise digital maturity is high across financial services, telecom, industrial technology and energy.

Right People Group has an established Swedish platform with existing client relationships, framework agreements and access to a Nordic consultant network. The commercial opportunity is significant and the foundation is in place. What is needed now is the commercial leadership to accelerate it.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive revenue and gross profit growth

• Own and deliver the Swedish country revenue and gross profit targets

• Build and manage a healthy enterprise sales pipeline with strong near-term visibility

• Win new accounts and deepen existing relationships across a portfolio of 30-40 enterprise clients

• Generate business across the full RPG portfolio: Freelance IT Consulting, Nearshore services & Try&Hire

• Actively participate in setting up and executing lead generation efforts, including AI-supported outreach strategies

Develop client relationships

• Own a personal client portfolio with significant monthly revenue responsibility

• Conduct regular meetings, status reviews and client events to deepen relationships

• Build multi-level relationships within enterprise client organisations

• Activate and extend framework agreements; identify and pursue new frameworks

Build RPG's market presence

• Represent RPG at industry events, conferences and client forums across Sweden

• Build and leverage a strong personal network in the Swedish enterprise IT community

• Develop and execute a go-to-market approach for priority sectors

• Collaborate with Nordic marketing on account-based and sector campaigns

Internal Collaboration & Integration

• Work closely with Delivery (two persons in Sweden), Marketing, and Operations

• Share learnings across the Engagement and Delivery team to drive scalable growth and best-practice adoption

• Play an active role in shaping RPG’s future operating model and business growth in Sweden

Your Profile:

Required Experience & Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in Nordic IT consulting, staffing or technology services

• Proven personal revenue generation track record in the Swedish enterprise market

• Demonstrated success in hunting and developing complex, senior accounts

• Strong existing network in the Swedish enterprise and IT consulting community

• Experience carrying and delivering significant individual commercial targets

• Fluent in English and Swedish; additional languages are a plus

• Based in Sweden with flexibility to travel nationally and internationally to clients and RPG offices as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, commercially sharp, and resilient

• Sales hunter: expand business and networks on C-Level with enterprise level and bigger SME clients

• Interesting & credible: someone who builds trust quickly, both inside and outside RPG

• Team-oriented: works well across functions with a hands-on approach

• Humble & accountable: avoids arrogance and embraces responsibility

Cultural & Organizational Fit:

• RPG is building a “One Company” model with centers of excellence in Sales, Delivery, and Research

• The Country Engagement Director shall be aligned with RPG’s strategic direction - data over intuition, process over personality, client-first over internal complexity

• The person should feel comfortable working in a small country setup and work independently
