Position Description

The Territory Manager will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, developing and executing strategic sales plans, achieving sales targets, and fostering partnerships with healthcare providers, including hospitals, clinics, and other institutions. This role requires a combination of strong leadership skills, in-depth medical industry knowledge, and strategic thinking. As a Territory Manager you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a regional sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating with the sales team and service providers to maximize potential.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key customers (e.g., hospitals, clinics, healthcare providers) to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profitability.
  • Manage and mentor the regional sales team, conducting performance evaluations and offering coaching to enhance their skills.
  • Train and support partners and clients on medical products, providing in-depth product knowledge and updates.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and individual sales reviews to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Track, analyze, and report sales data, forecasts, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure goals are met.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales performance reports, market trends, and customer feedback to senior management.
  • Manage the sales budget for the area, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Represent the company at medical conferences, exhibitions, and product launches, to promote the product line.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and ensure a high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer service team to ensure seamless order processing, delivery, and post-sales support.

Education

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a relevant medical field is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in the medical devices or healthcare distribution sectors.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Expertise in the surgical device segment is highly desirable.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical products, devices, or healthcare services.
  • Proven communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and payment schemes within the medical industry.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
