We are seeking a Business Analyst to join a leading financial services client within a Risk & Analytics function. This role will support the delivery of data-driven initiatives focused on credit risk, customer monitoring, and risk control enhancement across commercial banking operations.
You will work closely with risk, technology, data, and business stakeholders to improve analytical capabilities, optimise customer processes, and support the implementation of scalable risk management solutions. Exposure to fraud or financial crime programmes would be beneficial, but the primary focus of the role is broader risk and analytics transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for risk and analytics initiatives
- Analyse customer and operational processes to identify risk, control, and optimisation opportunities
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical delivery teams
- Act as a bridge between business and technology stakeholders across complex change programmes
- Support testing, validation, and implementation of risk and reporting solutions
- Drive continuous improvement through data insights, stakeholder feedback, and regulatory change
- Provide clear updates to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and dependencies
- Support the enhancement of credit risk and customer monitoring frameworks
Required Experience & Skills
- 2+ years proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, consulting, or risk-focused environments
- Strong understanding of commercial banking, credit risk, and data-driven risk management processes
- Experience working on complex change, transformation, or remediation programmes
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Data and analytics capability, including experience with SQL, Python, or visualisation tools
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and delivery quality
Desirable
- Exposure to fraud, financial crime, or non-financial risk initiatives
- Knowledge of banking regulations and industry best practices
- Experience working across multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to support end-to-end solutions spanning process, policy, data, and technology
