About the Role

NOV is looking for a Software Developer to join our Zone Management Technology team in Digital Products & Automation. The team develops industrial software systems used on offshore drilling rigs worldwide, including the Red Zone Manager (RZM), Anti-Collision System (ACS), and Pipe Interlock Management (PIM) products. These barrier systems help improve operational safety by integrating software, automation, and machine control in demanding offshore environments.

You will primarily work with the Red Zone Manager (RZM), a rapidly growing product within NOV’s automation portfolio. RZM combines camera-based AI with industrial automation to detect personnel in hazardous areas and, when necessary, automatically stop machinery to help prevent incidents. This is an opportunity to work on software systems operating in a real-world industrial environments where performance, reliability and safety have direct operational impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evolving the Red Zone Manager and related automation products
  • Working with real-time data and machine integration
  • Collaborating with developers, engineers and domain specialists

Essential Qualifications

  • Solid experience in software development, with a strong focus on C++ or C#.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant professional experience may compensate for formal education.
