Job Summary
The Director Digital UI/UX is accountable for defining and leading Kerzner International’s digital experience strategy and design execution across the global brand portfolio, including Atlantis, One&Only, SIRO, and Rare Finds.
The role owns the end-to-end experience, vision, design quality, and user ‑centred execution across all digital products and channels, ensuring guest journeys are intuitive, premium, accessible, and conversion effective. Acting as the design authority for digital experience, the Director‑ Digital UI/UX establishes experience principles, design systems, and optimisation practices that consistently translate brand intent into high q‑uality digital interactions.
The Director Digital UI/UX works in close partnership with the Director Digital Products, who owns commercial outcomes, prioritisation, and platform decisions. Together, the roles ensure digital products deliver measurable business results while maintaining a differentiated, guest centric experience aligned with Kerzner’s luxury positioning.

Digital Experience Strategy & Vision
The Director Digital UI/UX and Director Digital Products operate as peer leaders within the Digital & Technology leadership team. The Director Digital UI/UX owns experience strategy, design quality, and user ‑centred execution, while the Director Digital Products owns commercial outcomes, prioritisation, platform strategy, and technical decision making. Decisions impacting both domains are made collaboratively, with escalation to the Chief Digital & Information Officer where required‑.

Key Responsibilities
Digital Experience Strategy & Vision
- Define and own Kerzner’s global digital experience strategy across web, mobile, booking, and supporting platforms
- Translate brand, guest, and business objectives into clear experience principles and design direction
- Ensure consistency of experience across brands while allowing for brand specific expression where required
- Act as the senior design authority for all guest facing digital experience
- Lead the design of end-to-end guest journeys across discovery, inspiration, booking, and post booking touchpoints
- Drive continuous experience optimisation to improve usability, engagement, and conversion
- Partner with the Director Digital Products to align experience led optimisation initiatives with commercial priorities and targets
- Balance ‑guest centric design with performance, scalability, and delivery constraints
- Establish, evolve, and govern Kerzner’s digital design systems, component libraries, and experience standards
- Define UX/UI best practices, accessibility standards, and quality benchmarks
- Ensure consistent application of design standards across internal teams, agencies, and partners
- Review and approve experience and design decisions for major initiatives and releases
- Maintain hands‑on proficiency in industry‑standard tools (e.g. Figma) and emerging AI‑powered design capabilities
- Own user research practices, including qualitative and quantitative research, usability testing, and journey validation
- Interpret analytics, experimentation results, and guest feedback to identify experience improvement opportunities
- Translate insights into actionable design recommendations and priorities
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Marketing teams to ensure insights inform roadmap and optimisation decisions
- Partner closely with Digital Products, Technology, Marketing, Brand, and Content teams
- Support agile and product oriented delivery models with embedded design practices
- Provide clear executive level communication on experience vision, priorities, and outcomes
- Engage and manage external design agencies and partners to deliver against experience standards

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 10+ years’ experience in UX/UI, digital experience design, or customer experience roles
- 5+ years’ experience leading design teams in complex, global digital environments
- Experience in hospitality, luxury, travel, or consumer facing digital platforms preferred
- Deep expertise in UX/UI design, interaction design, and experience strategy
- Strong experience designing for complex ecosystems including content, commerce, and booking journeys
- Proven track record of improving conversion and engagement through experience led design
- Strong understanding of accessibility, usability standards, and inclusive design
