Salary: €100,000 - €130,000 + Benefits
Rotation: 3/1 Rotation for EU Passport holders outside of Norway + Flights & Accommodation
The Company
Our client is a leading specialist contractor delivering mission-critical infrastructure projects across Europe. With a strong presence in the Data Centre sector, they provide electrical, mechanical and ICT solutions to some of the world's largest hyperscale and colocation operators.
Due to continued growth across the Nordic region, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their team in Norway, supporting the successful delivery of large-scale Data Centre projects.
The Role
The Electrical Project Manager will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, execution and successful delivery of electrical packages on major Data Centre construction projects.
Working closely with the Project Director, Construction Managers, Engineering teams, subcontractors and client representatives, you will ensure all electrical works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Manager with a strong background in mission-critical environments who is looking to work on complex hyperscale Data Centre projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Manage the delivery of electrical packages from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, resource plans and delivery schedules.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, design requirements and contractual obligations.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, delays and technical challenges.
- Coordinate electrical subcontractors and site teams to achieve project milestones.
Commercial Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasts and cost reporting.
- Review and administer subcontractor packages and supplier agreements.
- Monitor variations, change orders and commercial risks.
- Support procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Maximise project profitability while maintaining delivery excellence.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure effective communication between site operations, engineering teams and commercial functions.
Health & Safety
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all project activities.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company procedures and project safety requirements.
- Participate in site audits, inspections and incident investigations where required.
- Drive safe systems of work and continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality & Commissioning
- Ensure all electrical installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Support QA/QC processes, inspections and testing activities.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with clients, consultants and specialist vendors.
- Manage project closeout documentation and final handover requirements.
Leadership
- Lead and motivate Project Engineers, Supervisors and site teams.
- Support the development of junior team members through mentoring and coaching.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance project environment.
- Drive accountability and operational excellence across the project team.
Requirements
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager delivering large-scale Data Centre or Mission Critical projects.
- Strong understanding of LV and MV electrical systems, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers and critical infrastructure.
- Experience managing electrical packages from design through commissioning and handover.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, change control and subcontractors.
- Excellent planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
- Experience working for an Electrical Contractor, MEP Contractor or Main Contractor delivering Data Centre projects.
