About The Role

Launched in 2024, Citco’s Experience Design group was created to bring enterprise-level impact through world-class design practice. The team partners across the organization to deliver strategic value in customer experience, digital transformation, process and organizational design, and product development. Our mission is to embed design as a core driver of business outcomes. The Junior UX/UI Designer will join a Global Design group that contributes to a range of product and strategic initiatives by particpating in every aspect of the design process, from discovery and ideation, to prototyping, testing, iterating and product launch. The position is based in Toronto and may require some international travel to other CITCO locations. This role will report to the Design Director, and interact with business stakeholders, and technical groups.

Responsibilities

Your role:

• Breakdown, enhance and analyze requirements to create simplified user experiences
• Craft user journeys, wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas
• Perform concept and usability testing to gather feedback and incorporate them in further product iterations
• Ability to design in an agile, iterative manner with light documentation when required
• Communicate your thoughts and decisions effectively to Product and Delivery Teams
• Demonstrate effective teamwork and working relationships with others
• Work with Delivery Team to make sure that technical aspects can be achieved, while ensuring that the user experience remains the top priority
• Collaborate with the other designers in Citco to share ideas, and promote design practice for the organization
  
  

Qualifications

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree/certificate in HCI, Design, or similar discipline, or the equivalent education and experience
• 1+ years of professional design experience for consumer or enterprise web applications
• Exceptional design skills with strong working knowledge in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite, Balsamiq or similar tools
• Experience or familiarity with design thinking and standard User Centered Design (UCD) methodologies
• Passionate about amazing product design and an appreciation for elegant user experiences
• Experience with responsive design for enterprise web applications
• Experience or familiarity working with a design system is desirable
• Prior relevant experience as a UX Designer or equivalent is required
• Results-oriented, forward thinking strong team player
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage multiple activities with multiple teams in an agile environment
• Strong portfolio showcasing examples of design work that exemplifies thinking and the paths to solving problems along with exceptional visual design
• Experience working in financial services industry is desirable
  
  

Salary Range: CAD $67,000 - 89,000
