Software Engineer, Core Platform

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to build the core platform behind real-world robot operations.

This is not a generic backend role. You will own the software loop that connects global teleoperation, live robot operations, data pipelines, and AI model improvement. Your work will directly shape how robots are deployed, monitored, controlled, and continuously made smarter in production.

You’ll work across real-time systems, backend architecture, operator tooling, and data infrastructure. You should be excited about building hard systems with tight feedback loops, high operational stakes, and direct impact on the performance of intelligent machines in the real world.

What you’ll do

• Build the core platform that powers live robot operations across global deployments
• Develop systems for teleoperation, remote supervision, intervention, and operator control
• Architect backend services that connect robots, operators, and cloud systems in real time
• Build the data engine that turns robot telemetry, logs, video, and sensor streams into training workflows for AI models
• Close the loop between deployment and learning, so every robot in the field improves the system
• Drive reliability, scalability, performance, and observability across a distributed, production-critical stack
• Work closely with robotics, autonomy, and AI teams to turn field operations into compounding product and model advantage
• Help define the architecture and technical foundation of a platform built for long-term scale

What we’re looking for

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping production systems
• Experience in distributed systems, backend systems, real-time systems, or cloud platforms
• Strong coding skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, C++, or similar
• Ability to design systems that are robust, scalable, and debuggable under real-world constraints
• Comfortable owning messy, cross-functional problems from architecture to execution
• High agency, strong judgment, and a bias toward building

Nice to have

• Experience with teleoperation, low-latency systems, WebRTC, or video streaming
• Experience with robotics, edge systems, or device-cloud architectures
• Experience building data pipelines or infrastructure for ML / AI training workflows
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and event-driven systems
• Experience working with multimodal data such as telemetry, sensor streams, and video
