We are partnering with an international manufacturing firm to hire a Lead AI Scientist to drive the development and adoption of AI capabilities across the business.

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on applying Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative / Agentic AI to solve complex operational and commercial challenges across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, maintenance, and production functions. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop AI solutions, and drive measurable business outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities

You will lead the development and deployment of AI and advanced analytics solutions across the organisation, translating business priorities into scalable AI use cases that improve operational efficiency, productivity, quality, and decision-making.

Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations Excellence, Procurement, and Technology, you will identify high-value opportunities where AI can create competitive advantage. Key initiatives may include predictive maintenance, computer vision, quality inspection, demand forecasting, process optimisation, digital twins, intelligent automation, and Generative AI-enabled productivity solutions.

You will be responsible for driving AI strategy, overseeing model development and deployment, establishing best practices in AI engineering and governance, and ensuring successful adoption across the organisation. As a senior leader, you will also mentor and develop a team of Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and Analytics professionals.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced AI leader with a strong track record of delivering AI, Machine Learning, and advanced analytics solutions within complex enterprise environments.

Candidates should possess expertise in machine learning, statistical modelling, predictive analytics, computer vision, Generative AI, and modern data platforms, with experience deploying solutions into production environments. Experience leading AI teams and driving cross-functional transformation initiatives will be highly advantageous.

Experience within manufacturing or other asset-intensive industries is preferred. Candidates from adjacent sectors with strong experience applying AI to operational and business challenges are also encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong stakeholder management capabilities, commercial acumen, and the ability to bridge business and technology teams to deliver measurable impact through AI.
