Head of Java Applications

We are seeking an experienced Head of Java Applications to lead our client's Java application Support team, focusing on delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance applications on AWS. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in Java and AWS, as well as excellent leadership and management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Java application support team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications on AWS.
2. Architecture and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance Java applications on AWS.
3. Team Management: Manage and lead a team of Java developers, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to ensure their growth and development.
4. AWS Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in Java application development.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams, including DevOps, QA, and Product Management, to ensure seamless delivery of Java applications.

Requirements:

1. Java Expertise: At least 10 years of experience in Java application development, with a strong focus on design patterns, architecture, and performance optimization.
2. AWS Experience: At least 5 years of experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and other AWS services.
3. Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of experience in leading and managing teams of Java developers.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
