Company Description
Prelude is the only R&D platform built exclusively for animal health and nutrition. Our mission is to accelerate the development of life-saving medicines, devices, and nutrition for animals through smarter technology and superior service. Study designs are becoming more complex every year, making research more daunting and labor-intensive for animal health R&D teams. Prelude's platform makes complex research easy with the industry's most flexible, user-friendly technology, purpose-built for animal health studies.
Role Description
Prelude is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to join our team in a full-time, on-site (hybrid) capacity. This is an individual contributor role on a lean team. Your work ships directly into the hands of clinical researchers, and you'll own your surface areas end to end, from discovery through release. The right candidate brings hands-on prototyping and design skills, the ability to move from idea to tangible mockup quickly, and exceptional communication, written and verbal, to translate complex requirements across engineering, customers, and leadership. We're a small, fast-moving team that expects everyone to actively leverage AI to work smarter.

- Use tools such as Figma (or equivalent) to produce mockups that accelerate feedback cycles and reduce ambiguity in handoffs
- Conduct usability reviews of prototypes before development begins
AI-Assisted Workflows
- Actively use AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Notion AI, or similar) to accelerate documentation, research synthesis, and product analysis
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to embed AI capabilities directly into the product — from intelligent defaults and workflow automation to surfacing insights for end users
- Stay current on emerging AI capabilities relevant to product management and advocate for their adoption within the team
Product Development and Launch
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality software products
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management
- Monitor testing of features and fixes so that the version release plan is on track

- Own documentation for release notes, knowledge base content, and applicable SOPs
- Provide internal training for each product release

- Experience working in an agile development environment with a deep understanding of agile methodologies and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively influence and align cross-functional teams
