💻 Staff Software Engineer (8+ Years Experience)

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll serve as the technical center of gravity for a fast-growing AI startup transforming healthcare operations. You'll partner closely with leadership to shape architecture, raise engineering standards, and drive execution across a complex platform spanning AI agents, workflow automation, and customer-facing products.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy owning large technical decisions, mentoring through influence, and building production systems from concept to scale.

🧩 What You'll Do

🏗️ Architecture & Technical Direction

• Drive architectural decisions across platform, product, and AI systems
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems
• Balance long-term technical investments with rapid product delivery

⚙️ Engineering Excellence

• Set standards for code quality, testing, observability, and reliability
• Lead design reviews and provide high-leverage technical feedback
• Establish best practices that help the team ship faster and safer

🚀 Execution & Delivery

• Break down complex initiatives into clear milestones
• Drive projects from idea to production deployment
• Identify risks early and ensure successful delivery

🤖 Product & AI Systems

• Contribute across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI workflows
• Build and improve systems powered by modern AI technologies
• Collaborate on agentic workflows, automation, and intelligent product experiences

🤝 Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with Product, Design, and Leadership on roadmap and technical strategy
• Work directly with users to understand pain points and identify opportunities
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical guidance

✅ You're a Great Fit If You

• Have 8+ years of experience building production software
• Have experience operating at Senior Staff or Staff Engineer level
• Have strong expertise in TypeScript and modern backend systems
• Can design scalable architectures and make sound technical tradeoffs
• Have experience driving large projects end-to-end
• Are highly effective in code reviews, technical leadership, and mentoring
• Can work across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and AI-related systems
• Thrive in fast-moving startup environments with high ownership
