Project Role Description : Acts as an enabler for the effective functioning of a software development team using Agile methodologies. Coaches and mentors the Scrum Team(s), removing barriers to successful implementation and enabling a continued focus on the task at hand. Facilitates scrum and agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Identifies and reports progress via appropriate metrics.

Summary:

As a Scrum Master, a typical day involves enabling the smooth operation of a software development team by fostering an environment that supports Agile practices. The role includes guiding the team through various Agile ceremonies, ensuring that obstacles are addressed promptly, and maintaining a steady focus on project goals. The Scrum Master actively facilitates collaboration among team members and stakeholders, monitors progress through relevant metrics, and supports continuous improvement to enhance team performance and delivery outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
• Responsible for team decisions.
• Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and adapting processes accordingly.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Support junior team members by providing guidance and fostering their professional growth.
  
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Avanade Scrum Project Management.
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and principles, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ability to identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress.
• Skilled in using project management and collaboration tools to track progress and report metrics.
  
  
  

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Avanade Scrum Project Management.
• This position is based at our Bhubaneswar office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
