Job Description

Agilists at U.S. Bank are customer-obsessed leaders who enable product teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. They ensure product vision, planning, and development activities are grounded in Agile and Product Values & Principles. Agilists drive continuous experimentation, learning, and evolution of product strategy based on outcomes and feedback. They influence culture through day-to-day engagement, fostering an agile mindset, disciplined execution, and a focus on delivering product goals.

As an Agilist, you will:

  • Manage delivery of high-priority digital product initiatives, including quarterly and sprint planning, dependency management, and overall delivery commitments
  • Drive quarterly product and team planning, ensuring alignment across product, engineering, and business partners
  • Drive delivery by enabling teams to conduct continuous, customer-focused discovery, experiment, and evolve product strategy based on outcomes and feedback loops
  • Own and optimize agile practices across the team, product group, or journey, including cross-portfolio coordination, planning, dependency mapping, OKRs, and success metrics in partnership with Product Management, business partners, digital, and technology teams
  • Champion and coach agile ways of working, embedding agile principles into prioritization, planning, and execution while strengthening team capabilities through coaching and training
  • Enable effective product management routines (e.g., QPP) and scale enterprise ways of working (e.g., Shield Way of Working Toolkit)
  • Utilize and drive adoption of agile tools and practices for product roadmaps, OKRs, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and collaboration (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Dragonboat, Mural, KYT metrics)
  • Lead and facilitate core agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and maintain team working agreements, charters, and rosters
  • Support product development practices including Definition of Done, MVP coaching, personas, story mapping, and backlog refinement
  • Lead agile portfolio management activities to align delivery with strategic priorities
  • Simplify governance, audit, and evidence processes while ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory expectations
  • Support funding, staffing, team formation, onboarding, and vendor management
  • Establish and monitor team performance metrics to improve both discovery and delivery outcomes, with a focus on customer impact and continuous improvement


Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in agile product development, agile coaching, and/or agile portfolio management


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for planning, tracking, and collaboration
  • Deep understanding of the product model and agile delivery methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, XP)
  • Proven experience in project, program, or delivery management, including planning, dependency management, and execution of complex initiatives


Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Expertise managing delivery against committed deadlines in a highly matrixed organization
  • Expertise in managing complex dependencies across product teams and aligning prioritization to deliver business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into executable product plans using metrics, KPIs, service blueprints, and reusable design patterns
  • Strong understanding of customer needs through research and discovery methods (e.g., personas, story mapping, product charters)
  • Proven collaboration with product managers and engineering teams to execute product vision and roadmap
  • Knowledge of product strategy, product discovery, product delivery, channel alignment, adoption, performance measurement, and optimization
