About Mobility

Summarizing the way Mobility works in one word? Nearly impossible. Let’s use four instead: MORK means “more than just work.” As pioneers in car sharing, we have a long history of driving change and shaping the future of mobility in Switzerland. Sustainability, innovation, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. We embrace challenges, support one another, and create an environment where everyone can make a meaningful impact.

To support the evolution of our digital products, we are looking for an Android Product Engineer to join our headquarters in Rotkreuz and help build one of Mobility’s most important customer touchpoints: our native Android application.

Role Overview

As an Android Product Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining Mobility’s native Android app. Working within a cross-functional product team, you will collaborate closely with UX designers, backend engineers, QA specialists, and product managers to deliver high-quality mobile experiences that serve thousands of Mobility customers across Switzerland.

You will contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle—from feature conception and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Mobility’s native Android application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Design and implement new features in close collaboration with UX, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Integrate backend services, SDKs, and third-party components while ensuring performance, stability, and maintainability.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate actively with mobile developers across different product streams to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of application architecture, quality, and user experience.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of experience developing native Android applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, as well as modern Android frameworks and technologies, including Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and Koin.
  • Experience integrating SDKs, third-party libraries, and RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
  • Experience working in agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies.
  • Familiarity with development and delivery tools such as Bitbucket, Gradle, CircleCI, Google Play Console, Firebase, and Google Tag Manager (GTM).
  • Experience with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and NFC technologies is considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of iOS development with Swift is an advantage for cross-platform collaboration and team support.
  • Fluent German (C1) and English (B2/C1) [Mandatory].

What We Offer

  • A dynamic and innovative workplace with a strong culture of collaboration.
  • The opportunity to build digital products used daily by thousands of customers across Switzerland.
  • Modern technologies, autonomous teams, and meaningful technical challenges.
  • Professional growth and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Attractive benefits package.
  • Flexible working conditions and a strong commitment to work-life balance.
  • An inspiring work environment where MORK is more than just a concept—it’s part of everyday life.
