Middle Java Engineer

As a Java Engineer, you will be working on developing best in class software products for our travel marketplace. Currently, our Client is in a strong growth phase and is working on building world-class travel e-commerce products to help us scale and serve millions of customers. Requirements:

• Good understanding of design patterns
• Understanding of unit test frameworks
• Algorithmic, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Passion for agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and engineering practices (continuous integration, continuous delivery, test-driven development)
• Fluent English and good communication skills, ability to express complex things in an easy to pick-up manner

Will be a plus:

• Experience with Bootstrap
• Understanding of common architectural concepts, patterns and approaches
• Understanding with Microservices Architecture and cloud services
• Understanding on how to operate at scale and have a cloud DevOps / infrastructure mindset (Kubernetes)

Responsibilities:

• Integration with new travel providers APIs and support of the existing ones. Both the creation of new integrations and the migration of old ones (originally in PHP)
• Collaborate with engineering teams across company to support travellers and suppliers
• Build awesome user-facing products / features
• Create new ideas with our product team to constantly improve the experience
• Implement unit and integration tests
