Senior UX/UI Specialist

About the Role

A Senior UX/UI Specialist position is available within a collaborative digital delivery team supporting the design and delivery of major digital products and services.

The team is seeking an experienced UX/UI professional to lead the research, design and delivery of user-centred experiences across a range of digital initiatives. This is an opportunity to influence the end-to-end user experience of large-scale digital platforms while working closely with stakeholders, developers and business representatives.

The broader environment provides exposure to user research, interface design, digital product delivery, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives within a complex enterprise environment.

You will operate as a senior hands-on contributor, responsible for leading UX activities, conducting user research, facilitating workshops, creating design artefacts and delivering intuitive, accessible and user-focused digital experiences.

This role will suit someone who enjoys owning the UX/UI process from discovery through to delivery and influencing design outcomes across complex digital products.

This is initially a 6-month engagement with an ASAP start.

You Should Have

• Substantial experience in a Senior UX/UI Design role

• Experience delivering end-to-end UX/UI outcomes

• Strong user-centred design expertise

• Experience conducting user research and usability testing

• Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments

• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills

• Ability to balance user needs, technical constraints and business objectives

• Experience collaborating closely with development teams

Technical Requirements

Must Have

• Senior UX/UI Design experience

• Strong user-centred design, user research and usability testing experience

• Experience delivering end-to-end UX/UI outcomes

• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills

• Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments

• Commercial experience using Figma for design and prototyping

• Experience collaborating closely with developers throughout delivery

Nice to Have

• Experience with CMS platforms

• Experience with Digital Experience Platforms (DXP)

• Experience within enterprise web ecosystems

• Experience using Adobe XD, Sketch or similar design tools

• Relevant tertiary qualification

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research, design and delivery of user-centred experiences across major digital products and services

• Conduct stakeholder workshops, user interviews and discovery activities

• Undertake journey mapping, usability testing and feedback analysis

• Create user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes

• Produce high-fidelity interface designs

• Ensure solutions are intuitive, accessible and aligned to user and business needs

• Maintain design quality and consistency across digital experiences

• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders throughout delivery

• Analyse user insights and research outcomes to inform design decisions

• Contribute to the successful delivery of digital initiatives and continuous improvement activities

Remuneration

• Up to $132,715 plus superannuation per annum (pro-rated for a 6-month engagement)

• Contract and fixed-term engagement options available
