Network Infrastructure Engineer – TSPV Cleared | Defence Environment

Join Vertical Scope Group’s (VSG) client in Adelaide as we seek a driven, highly skilled and competent, TSPV Network Engineer to join our award-winning team in supporting our long-term costumer.

• Contract: Initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options
• Location: South Australia (SA) – onsite role
• Security Clearance: Current TSPV clearance required
• Key Skills: Network infrastructure, systems installation, troubleshooting, automation/scripting, infrastructure maintenance, Defence or secure environment experience

Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support critical Defence capabilities within a highly secure operational environment. This role plays an important part in maintaining and enhancing network and infrastructure services that underpin mission-critical digital systems. You will contribute to the performance, resilience and security of complex environments while working alongside highly skilled technical teams.

Your duties will include:

• Investigating, diagnosing and resolving network and infrastructure issues
• Designing and implementing network changes, upgrades and maintenance activities
• Monitoring, optimising and reporting on network performance, load and security
• Supporting the installation, deinstallation and maintenance of infrastructure components and services
• Automating routine infrastructure and networking tasks through scripting and standard tools
• Contributing to disaster recovery, availability management and operational improvements

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Current TSPV security clearance with eligibility to meet organisational suitability requirements
• Experience in network infrastructure engineering, including troubleshooting and maintenance
• Strong understanding of network fundamentals, protocols, architectures, devices and topologies
• Experience implementing infrastructure changes and maintaining operational environments
• Ability to investigate and resolve technical issues while identifying preventative solutions
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience (3+ years preferred)
