Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Need an AI Engineer Based out of LATAM Area for Contract Remote Project.

A fast-growing AI consulting and product development team is seeking a highly experienced AI Engineer to build and deploy production-grade agentic systems. This role focuses on delivering real-world AI solutions used daily by enterprise clients across industries, while also contributing to the development of an internal multi-agent platform.

The ideal candidate thrives in high-ownership environments, can translate complex business workflows into scalable AI architectures, and consistently ships reliable, production-ready systems.

Important note: Candidates whose experience is limited to Chatbots, Basic RAG pipelines, Standard LLM integrations will not meet the requirements for this advanced autonomous systems role.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and build multi-agent systems where agents:Coordinate and hand off tasks
• Share memory and state
• Operate autonomously in production environments
• Develop advanced agent orchestration frameworks beyond simple pipelines
• Implement tool-calling, planning, and execution systems
• Build evaluation, monitoring, and reliability frameworks for agent behavior
• Work on production systems actively used by enterprise clients on a daily basis (not demos or proof-of-concepts)

Qualifications & Required Skills

1. Real Multi-Agent Production Experience

• Proven experience building and deploying multi-agent systems in production
• Experience with systems where multiple agents interact collaboratively, rather than single-agent or chatbot-style flows
• Hands-on expertise in:Agent coordination
• Shared memory/state management
• Task orchestration across agents

2. Strong Software Engineering Foundation

• At least 6–10 years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands-on production AI/agentic systems work experience
• Preference for engineers with deep implementation experience over senior architects who recently transitioned into AI
• Strong fundamentals in:
• System design
• Data structures & algorithms
• Backend engineering
• Demonstrated ability to ship, scale, and maintain production systems

3. Depth Over Keywords

• Clear, verifiable contributions to real-world systems (not keyword-heavy resumes)
• Ability to clearly explain:Architecture decisions
• Technical tradeoffs
• Measurable business or engineering outcomes

4. Production-Grade Systems Experience

• Experience building systems that:Are actively used by real users and businesses
• Handle reliability, scalability, and failure recovery
• Experience with:Monitoring and observability
• Evaluation frameworks
• Debugging AI systems in production

Strong Plus

• Experience with frameworks such as LangGraph (only if used in real production systems, not demos)
• Experience building:Agent evaluation frameworks
• Observability and monitoring systems for AI platforms
• Prior experience deploying enterprise-scale AI systems
