Functional Analyst

I am currently looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to join a dynamic and forward-thinking environment within the insurance and banking sector.

In this role, you will play a key part in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable functional specifications that drive high-quality system delivery.

Your Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and IT teams
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements in a structured and comprehensive manner
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of solutions
• Support testing activities, including defining test cases and validating deliverables
• Ensure consistency and quality across functional documentation and processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project and analysis domains

Your Profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or similar role
• Strong experience within the insurance and/or banking sector
• Solid technical background with knowledge of COBOL and SQL
• Proven ability to work on legacy systems as well as modern environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with a good command of English
