Data Officer

I'm partnered with a client in Mechelen who are looking for an experienced and proactive Data Officer to elevate our organization’s capabilities in data management and analytics.

In this versatile and independent role, you will be responsible for collecting, consolidating, and analyzing data from various systems and applications across the company. Your work will directly contribute to generating valuable business insights that support our strategy and decision‑making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Data Integration & Management
• Map all data sources within the organization (ERP systems, CRM, databases, cloud applications, etc.).
• Maintain and manage a central data warehouse.
• Automate data collection and integration processes.
• Ensure data quality through cleaning, validation, and normalization.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Analyze trends and patterns to generate actionable insights.
• Present findings to business stakeholders in clear, non‑technical language.
• Actively contribute to identifying KPIs and improving business processes through data analysis.

Strategic Partnership:

• Collaborate with various departments (sales, finance, operations, etc.) to enable data‑driven decision‑making.
• Advise management on strategic choices based on data insights.
• Help build and strengthen a culture where data‑driven working is central.

Your Profile:

• Experience in designing and managing data warehouses.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and ETL processes.
• Skilled in data analysis and visualization with Microsoft Power BI.
• Demonstrable experience with Azure (Fabric, Databricks, Power BI).

Business Acumen:

• Understands business processes and how data contributes to achieving strategic objectives.
• Able to translate complex data challenges into concrete solutions and recommendations.
• Strong communication skills to convey results clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.

What They Offer:

• Salary: €60,000 - €80,000
