Job Description: ELV Integration Manager – Data Centre Construction


The ELV Integration Manager is responsible for managing, overseeing and executing all Extra Low Voltage (ELV) integration related workstreams on a mission-critical data centre construction project. The ELV Integration Manager will be based on site and will report directly to the Project Lead and PMC Directors. The individual will represent the Client and act as the technical interface between ELV vendors, MEP contractors, commissioning teams and the wider project team.


The role requires the ELV Integration Manager to lead the coordination, integration, testing and handover of all ELV systems, ensuring systems communicate correctly and operate in accordance with client operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities


ELV Integration Management

• The ELV Integration Manager will report to the Project Lead and PMC Directors.

• The ELV Integration Manager will coordinate all ELV-related workstreams across the project lifecycle.

• The ELV Integration Manager will act as the technical go-between between the client and appointed contractors/vendors.

• The ELV Integration Manager will ensure all ELV systems are fully coordinated and integrated.


Technical Coordination

• Review ELV designs, technical submittals and system architecture.

• Coordinate design interfaces between ELV, CSA and MEP packages.

• Identify technical gaps, clashes and interface risks.

• Support technical reviews and design workshops.

ELV Systems Oversight


Manage integration of systems including but not limited to:

• BMS

• EPMS

• SCADA

• Fire Alarm

• Access Control

• CCTV

• Structured Cabling

• Security Systems

• DCIM

• Leak Detection and Monitoring Systems


Construction Support

• Undertake site walks with contractors and project teams.

• Monitor installation progress and installation quality.

• Ensure containment, cabling and field device installation align with approved design.

• Resolve technical issues affecting installation progress.


Integration, Testing & Commissioning

• Coordinate controls integration between all ELV and MEP systems.

• Validate communications architecture and network connectivity.

• Support FAT, SAT and integrated systems testing.

• Troubleshoot integration, software and communication issues.

• Ensure systems meet operational and resilience requirements.


Programme & Risk Management

• Understand the buildability of the project and relate activities to a P6 schedule.

• Identify risks relating to controls integration and system readiness.

• Record technical risks and mitigation plans.

• Escalate critical path issues affecting commissioning or handover.


Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Promote HSE at all times.

• Ensure safe working practices for testing and live systems integration.


Documentation

• Maintain live registers for interfaces, testing and technical issues.

• Ensure commissioning records and test documentation are complete.

• Adhere to document management systems including SharePoint and project software.


Required Qualifications & Skills


Essential

• Proven experience delivering ELV systems on large-scale industrial, data centre or mission-critical projects.

• Strong technical knowledge of BMS, EPMS, SCADA and controls architecture.

• Experience with integrated systems testing and commissioning.

• Understanding of communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, SNMP and OPC.

• Strong understanding of structured cabling and network infrastructure.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and controls diagrams.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively.

• Can work independently and proactively solve problems.

• Working on Capex projects.

• Working client and contractor side.


Desirable

• Experience within hyperscale or colocation data centre construction.

• Experience with DCIM platforms and building analytics.

• Familiarity with redundancy and resilience standards for critical environments.
