Norway · Temporary · Associate

Want to work with a globally recognized brand and iconic products, designed in the best interest of the child?

Do you like the combination of a local heritage and a global presence? From humble beginnings in Ålesund in 1932, our iconic products are now sold worldwide. Since then, Stokke has combined the passion for Scandinavian design with the ability to challenge the ordinary and make beautiful products that nurture family bonding. At Stokke we always aim higher, and with a good share of hard work and passion, we keep delivering on our brand slogan – Here we grow.

As our Legal Counsel (maternity leave cover), you will support the business across a broad range of legal topics. The role is closely connected to our day-to-day operations, and we will tailor tasks and responsibilities based on the experience and interests of the right candidate. This provides a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure and develop within an international organisation.

Start date: As soon as possible

Duration: Approximately 10 months

The position will be based in Ålesund.

What you get

Perhaps the biggest benefit of working at Stokke is the opportunity to work with a company whose products are recognized around the world and have a common purpose: to encourage child development and nurture family bonding.

You will also experience an international work environment and gain hands-on exposure to a wide variety of legal topics in a company that creates smart and sustainable premium products.

Suggested responsibilities

The scope of the role is flexible and will be adapted based on the candidate’s experience, background and development goals. Examples of tasks may include:

  • Supporting the business with legal advice in day-to-day operations
  • Assisting with contracts and contract-related matters
  • Contributing to topics within marketing law, IP and general compliance
  • Supporting work related to technology, CRM and data protection
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Marketing and Digital
  • Assisting with other legal matters that arise across the organisation

Background & Competence

We’re looking for a candidate that ideally has the following background, but at the same time we like to be challenged. To us, the right attitude is more important than your current experience level.

  • Law degree
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Interest in or experience within areas such as contract law, compliance, marketing law, IP or technology law
  • Relevant work experience is beneficial, but we are open to recent graduates
  • Structured, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team

This is you

You have strong collaboration and communication skills and enjoy working in a global and cross-functional environment. You are curious, eager to learn and comfortable handling a variety of tasks.

You work in a structured way, take ownership when needed and are motivated by developing your skills across different legal areas.

In general, we value strong collaborators who also act as constructive challengers. We appreciate different perspectives – it’s what helps us develop as individuals and as a company.
