JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance & ERM Framework and Programs Support
- Assist in maintaining and updating the Company's ERM Framework and Compliance Risk Policy to ensure continual relevance and effectiveness.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate ERM and compliance policies, processes, and internal controls to prevent, detect, and address risks and non-compliance issues.
- Conduct horizon scanning for industry developments, emerging risks, regulatory changes, and best practices, and support updates to ERM and Compliance programmes accordingly.
Risk Assessment and Monitoring:
- Perform regular risk and compliance assessments and monitoring to ensure the Company's operations remain aligned with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures (e.g. healthcare, building and construction, manpower, and data protection regulations).
- Advise stakeholders on the risk and compliance implications of business decisions, new initiatives, and operational changes.
- Guide stakeholders to identify and assess their process, risk, and controls, and maintain the relevant registers, including policy and regulation registers.
- Assist in identifying and monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), collating and analysing data, and flagging areas of concern.
Control Self Attestation (CSA):
- Support the coordination and facilitation of CSA exercises across business units, guiding stakeholders through the assessment of key controls and their operating effectiveness.
- Consolidate and analyse CSA results to identify control gaps, weaknesses, and areas for improvement, and escalate findings to management as appropriate.
- Work with stakeholders to develop and track remediation plans arising from CSA findings, and perform follow-up validation to confirm timely and effective closure.
- Maintain thorough documentation of CSA activities, results, and remediation actions for management reporting and audit purposes.
Incident Management and Issue Closure Validation:
- Support the oversight and constructive challenge of stakeholders to monitor, manage, and escalate potential and actual incidents and non-compliance issues in a timely manner.
- Assist in investigating potential and actual incidents and non-compliance issues, gathering facts, conducting interviews, and making recommendations for corrective actions.
- Document and track issues, resolutions, and corrective actions.
- Assist in performing risk-based validation for incident and non-compliance action plan closures and audit issue closures.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Assist in preparing regular risk and compliance reports for management and the oversight committee, highlighting key issues, risks, mitigating controls, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain thorough records of risk and compliance management activities and reports for auditing and regulatory purposes.
Training and Awareness:
- Support the conduct of regular risk management and compliance training sessions for employees to ensure they understand the requirements and standards applicable to their roles.
- Promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance across the Company by providing guidance and raising awareness of responsibilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement(s):
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 to 5 years of professional experience in Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
- Professional Risk Management or Compliance accreditation is an advantage.
Other requirements / qualities:
- Good understanding of Risk Management and Compliance methodologies, programmes, practices, and relevant industry standards.
- Experience in supporting the development and implementation of Risk Management or Compliance programmes is preferred.
- Ability to identify and resolve risk and compliance issues effectively and in a timely manner.
- Experience within healthcare-related industries would be an advantage.
- Good communication skills and able to work collaboratively across all levels of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, process management, and problem-solving skills, with sensitivity to issues and good facilitation abilities.
- Positive attitude, hands-on, and able to work independently.
