Job Description

About the Role

  • We are seeking a Senior Tax Consultant or Assistant Manager to join our Tax Services team.
  • You will work closely with mid-market clients across a range of industries, providing advisory and compliance services.
  • We provide tailored training and support, to deepen your expertise in technical tax areas, and help you thrive as your career progresses.


Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Assistance with the preparation of income tax returns, FBT returns and other compliance obligations.
  • Preparation of tax effect accounting calculations
  • Assist with the delivery of tax advice, including research and drafting the advice
  • Support the development of junior team members through day-to-day guidance and coaching.
  • Contribute to technical training sessions for the Tax Services division, and the broader firm.


Desired Skills And Experience

What Makes You ‘Just Right’

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting (or similar) and progression towards/completion of CA, CPA, CTA, or MTax qualifications.
  • 2-5 years' experience
  • Prior experience within a big four or mid-tier Tax Division will be highly regarded
  • We are also keen to hear from candidates with experience in Business Services / Advisory who are looking to broaden their expertise in technical tax areas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with clients and team members.
  • A detail-oriented mindset, eager to learn and ready to take on new challenges
