UX/UI Designer
Location: Remote with Occasional trips to Sheffield/ Taunton
Our client is investing in the next generation of their products and are looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to join our growing Product team.
Reporting to a newly appointed Lead UX Designer, you'll become part of a new and exciting UX function, helping to deliver intuitive, engaging and user-centred experiences across our portfolio of maritime software solutions.
Working closely with developers, product managers and senior stakeholders, you'll help solve complex user challenges, influence product direction and ensure our software is as intuitive as it is powerful.

The Role
As a UX/UI Designer, you'll be involved throughout the product development lifecycle, from understanding user needs and defining requirements through to designing polished interfaces and validating solutions with users.
Reporting to the Lead UX Designer, you'll help establish best practice across the business while working on both existing products and exciting new developments within the niche technology sector.
You'll have the opportunity to influence how UX is embedded within the organisation and play a key role in delivering products that genuinely improve the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Lead UX Designer, supporting the growth of the UX capability.
- Work closely with developers, product managers and senior stakeholders to understand business objectives and user needs.
- Conduct user research, stakeholder workshops and usability testing.
- Create user journeys, personas, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Design intuitive user experiences for complex B2B SaaS products.
- Help develop and maintain a consistent design system.
- Present design concepts and rationale confidently to stakeholders.
- Champion user-centred design throughout the product development process.
- Iterate designs using customer feedback, analytics and usability insights.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are delivered to a high standard.
About You
We're looking for someone who's passionate about creating exceptional digital experiences and enjoys solving real-world problems through thoughtful design.
You'll be comfortable working within cross-functional product teams and enjoy collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2-5 years' experience in a UX/UI Designer or Product Designer role.
- Experience designing digital products, ideally within B2B SaaS environments.
- Strong proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping tools.
- Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and polished interfaces.
- Understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and confidently.
- Experience working collaboratively with developers and product teams.
- A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design projects.
Desirable
- Experience creating or contributing to design systems.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Exposure to complex software products or technical industries such as maritime, engineering, logistics or industrial software.

- £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
