Mid-Level Java Engineer

Not every backend Java role is the same.

Some are maintaining legacy systems.

Some are buried in process.

And then there are the ones where the code you ship this week is powering real-time activity across global users within hours.

I’m working with a high-growth fintech operating in the trading domain, building a real-time, high-volume platform where performance, reliability and clean integrations genuinely matter.

They’re looking for a Mid-Level Backend Java Engineer who’s more interested in solving complex engineering problems than simply shipping tickets.

You’ll be working across key system integrations, API development, and distributed systems, helping design and build software that can handle high-throughput, international traffic in a fast-moving trading environment.

The platform is built in Java, runs in a cloud-native environment, and uses PostgreSQL as its primary datastore.

You’ll be part of a small team of 5 where autonomy is expected.

• Hybrid (Brisbane) with remote also an option.
• Up to $140k + Super
