Join this well-established profit-to-members superannuation fund as it continues to uplift its security posture, data protection capability and AI governance maturity. You will work closely with the Head of Technology & AI, with strong support from specialist MSP partners, while gaining broad exposure across cyber risk, third-party assurance, regulatory uplift and practical security delivery.
Who you will be working with:
You will be joining an independent superannuation fund with a long-standing reputation in the Australian market. The organisation is investing in its technology, security and AI governance capability, creating a dedicated role focused fully on cyber, IT governance and security uplift.
You will work directly with the Head of Technology & AI, internal business stakeholders, external consultants, third-party vendors and specialist security providers. This is a broad role suited to someone emerging in their cyber career who wants to learn the full end-to-end picture of security in a regulated business.

- Broad cyber, IT governance, third-party risk, data protection and AI governance exposure
- Regulated financial services environment with APRA/ASIC-aligned security and governance uplift
- Support security posture uplift across cyber risk, data protection, governance and control improvement activities
- Track cybersecurity remediation items, vendor actions, risk items and assurance findings through to completion
- Assist with third-party security assessments, including reviewing vendor responses, evidence, certifications and risk gaps
- Support AI governance activities, including use case assessments, registers, templates and practical guidance material
- Help maintain security, IT risk, audit, control and governance documentation
- Prepare clear reporting, meeting notes, action trackers and stakeholder updates for management and governance forums
- 2 - 5 years’ experience across cyber security, IT governance, technology risk, audit, assurance or a related area
- Industry domain experience in superannuation or other financial services / Big-4 consulting is well-regarded
- Strong cyber fundamentals and genuine curiosity about why security matters to a business
- Exposure to third-party risk, vendor assurance, security questionnaires or control evidence would be highly regarded
- Interest and curiosity in AI governance, data protection, DLP, Microsoft 365 security, Purview or related security concepts
- Strong communication skills - this is a stakeholder-facing role that gives great exposure to the business units and partners
