Product Owner

Introduction:

We're looking for a Product Owner with strong fintech experience, ideally in CFD brokerage, trading platforms, or adjacent financial services, to own and deliver high-quality product outcomes across Blueberry's trading platform. Reporting to the Head of Product, this role sits at the centre of engineering, design, compliance, and business stakeholders, turning product strategy into clear requirements and shipped features.

You'll manage the backlog, define what gets built and why, and drive delivery from concept through to release in a fast-paced, regulated environment where quality and compliance both matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Delivery & Execution: Own and manage the product backlog with clear prioritisation aligned to business goals. Translate strategy and user needs into well-defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and act as the primary point of contact for development teams on requirements and scope.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Compliance, Operations, and Engineering to keep everyone aligned. Facilitate refinement sessions, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and communicate priorities, trade-offs, and delivery progress clearly.
• Customer & Market Focus: Build a deep understanding of Blueberry's customers, trading behaviours, and platform usage. Apply domain knowledge of CFDs, trading platforms, and financial products to inform decisions, and support user testing, feedback loops, and post-release analysis.
• Quality & Continuous Improvement: Ensure delivered features meet functional, regulatory, and quality expectations. Work with QA and engineering to resolve defects, improve system reliability, and lift product delivery processes and team efficiency.
  
  
  

Skills and Experiences:

Requirements

• 3-7+ years' experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a fintech, trading, or financial services environment.
• Strong domain knowledge of CFDs, trading platforms, brokerage operations, or financial products.
• Proven experience working in agile delivery teams.
• Ability to write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in regulated environments, including collaboration with compliance or risk teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with trading platforms such as MT4/MT5, cTrader, or proprietary broker systems.
• Familiarity with brokerage operations, pricing, or trade lifecycle workflows.
• Experience contributing to product decisions in ASIC-regulated or similarly regulated markets.
