The Work You'll Do

Everything runs in the Cloud — but everything quickly becomes nothing without reliable systems on the back end. At Sovos, millions of data transactions run through our systems every day. Without our robust, agile infrastructure, we wouldn't be able to deliver our SaaS products at the scale our customers depend on. This is where you come in.

As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be responsible for optimising the performance and scalability of Sovos SaaS offerings. You'll have real opportunities to make meaningful impact on our cloud infrastructure, SaaS products, and customer experience — all while continuing to grow and learn.

More Specifically, You Will

• Develop, operate, and optimise internal tools used to deploy, monitor, alert, secure, and troubleshoot Sovos applications.
• Contribute to tools development and shape the operational side of Sovos applications, partnering with the Platform team to build efficient pipelines.
• Set up systems, software, and experiments; test and verify features, tools, and processes.
• Contribute to the quality of service and uptime of Sovos applications.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to improve operational efficiency, accelerate troubleshooting, and enhance platform reliability.
  
  

What We Need From You

• Experience in application monitoring, data storage, and cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of the software delivery lifecycle and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools such as Azure DevOps or TeamCity.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, or Puppet).
• Experience with cloud deployment, monitoring, and operational analysis tools (e.g. Scalyr, Nagios, or Prometheus/Grafana).
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and ideas across a global team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with advanced English proficiency to support a multi-regional team.
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
