Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We're partnering with a cybersecurity company in Mechelen that's leveraging artificial intelligence to help organisations stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. As an AI Engineer, you'll contribute to the development of intelligent security solutions that combine machine learning, generative AI, and advanced analytics to enhance threat detection, automate investigations, and improve security operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning models for cybersecurity applications.
• Build intelligent systems for anomaly detection, threat intelligence, malware analysis, fraud detection, and behavioural analytics.
• Develop AI-powered tools that automate security workflows and support Security Operations Centre (SOC) teams.
• Create scalable data pipelines to process and analyse large volumes of security data, including network traffic, system logs, endpoint telemetry, and threat intelligence.
• Implement LLM-based solutions, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents to support incident response, vulnerability analysis, and security investigations.
• Work closely with software engineers, product teams, and cybersecurity specialists to bring AI solutions into production.

Your Profile

• 2–8 years of experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade machine learning systems.
• Familiarity with LLMs, generative AI, predictive modelling, or anomaly detection.
• Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Exposure to cybersecurity concepts or security-focused datasets is an advantage.
