We're partnering with an established technology team that supports one of Belgium's largest energy organisations on a long-term programme focused on AI innovation.

This is an opportunity to join a small, high-performing team of young AI specialists that combines the stability of a large enterprise with the fast-paced, collaborative culture of a startup.

About the Role

As an AI Engineer, you'll help design and build AI-driven solutions that support critical energy operations. You'll work on projects involving machine learning, large language models, predictive analytics, and intelligent software solutions for real-world industrial applications, including power generation and forecasting.

The role

• Develop and deploy AI and machine learning solutions for production environments.
• Build applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI frameworks.
• Develop software primarily in Python.
• Work with predictive models and data-driven solutions for energy and industrial use cases.
• Collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, and software developers in an agile environment.
• Contribute to cloud-based AI solutions and MLOps initiatives where applicable.

Who you are

• 2–3 years of experience in software engineering or AI development.
• Good Python development skills.
• Practical knowledge of AI, machine learning, and/or Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is an advantage.
• Experience with data engineering, MLOps, or deploying AI models is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Enthusiasm for solving complex problems and learning new technologies.
