Job Description
Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their team on an initial 12-month daily rate contract. This role will focus on analysing complex datasets, delivering business insights, and supporting strategic decision-making across key business functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and interpret large volumes of data from multiple business systems.
- Produce meaningful reports, dashboards and visualisations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Identify trends, patterns and opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.
- Develop and maintain reporting solutions using appropriate analytical and visualisation tools.
- Ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across reporting environments.
- Support ongoing data governance initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of data management practices.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions within agreed timelines.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a Data Analyst or similar analytical role.
- Strong experience analysing and interpreting complex datasets.
- Proven ability to create reports, dashboards and management information for business stakeholders.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience working within Agile or project-based delivery environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation tools.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality and regulatory compliance principles.
- Exposure to financial services, professional services or other highly regulated industries would be advantageous.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent third-level qualification in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems or a related discipline.
