Scrum Master

My client is actively looking for a Senior Scrum Master for a long term daily rate contract based in Dublin City Centre. Hybrid working options are available for this role.

Role Overview

• Part of the Unify Team supporting a large Dynamics 365 implementation
• Responsible for enabling delivery of value through Agile / Scrum practices
• Acts as a facilitator, coach, and enabler to the team
• Ensures Scrum is understood and effectively applied across the team and organisation
• Focus on team effectiveness, continuous improvement, and delivery predictability

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Scrum Facilitation

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies:
• Daily Stand-ups
• Sprint Planning
• Sprint Reviews
• Retrospectives
• Ensure ceremonies are productive, time-boxed, and outcome-driven
• Guide teams in maintaining a consistent sprint cadence and delivery rhythm

Team Coaching & Capability

• Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices
• Promote self-organisation and cross-functional working
• Mentor teams to improve maturity and delivery capability
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning

Delivery Enablement & Blocker Removal

• Identify and remove impediments impacting team progress
• Manage risks, dependencies, and resource allocation across the team
• Shield the team from unnecessary distractions and interruptions
• Support the team in achieving sprint goals consistently
• Take accountability for delivery outcomes, ensuring scope, timeline, and quality targets are met

Stakeholder & Collaboration

• Work closely with:
• Product Owner (backlog refinement, prioritisation)
• Delivery and technical teams
• Wider stakeholders
• Facilitate communication and alignment across teams
• Support backlog readiness and clarity of requirements

Governance, Transparency & Improvement

• Promote transparency via agile metrics (e.g. sprint progress, delivery trends)
• Drive improvements via retrospectives and process optimisation
• Assess team Scrum maturity and support progression
• Encourage adoption of Agile standards and best practices

Agile & Scrum Expertise

• Strong understanding of:
• Scrum framework and Agile principles
• Sprint lifecycle and ceremonies
• Experience implementing Scrum in delivery teams

Facilitation & Coaching

• Proven ability to:
• Facilitate team ceremonies effectively
• Coach teams without direct authority
• Strong leadership enablement mindset

Delivery & Problem Solving

• Experience removing blockers and resolving issues quickly
• Ability to manage competing priorities and dependencies
• Strong focus on team outcomes and delivery cadence

Communication & Collaboration

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to facilitate discussions, conflict resolution, and alignment
• Experience working across cross-functional teams

Desirable

• Scrum certification (e.g. CSM, PSM)
• Experience with tools such as:
• Azure DevOps / Jira
• Experience scaling Agile across programmes or multiple teams
