International Council of Peace and Security is a non-profit, non-partisan organisation that aims to share and spread academic content to people all around the world with foreign policy analyses over countries and regions within peace and security studies. It focuses on diverse sub-categories across multi disciplines, from international energy security, political violence and disarmament to Polieconomics as well as providing data based research barometers annually to Cultivate heightened awareness and understanding of matters pertaining to international security and peace at a global scale. At ICSP, the academic team consists of international writers and members from its 12 departments. ICPS does write in many fields with foreign policy based non partisan, political analysts with the aim of sharing the academic analysis and knowledge our team has, to allow all the people around the globe to benefit from this knowledge without any charges or subscriptions while promoting peace and security analyses all over the world.
Who We Are Recruiting For Position?
We, as the International Council of Peace and Security, are looking for a candidate who is interested in the Human Resources Recruitment Department with supporting resumes for the position they are applying for. We will be hiring 1 person to our human resource recruitment department for the Human Resources Recruiter Manager position and responsibilities for this position will be as listed below:
As the Human Resources Recruitment Manager at ICPS, you will assume a multifaceted role, overseeing various critical functions within our HR department. Your responsibilities include the provision of onboarding and training to newly recruited HR Recruitment Officers, offering mentorship and guidance to our recruitment team, and efficiently scheduling recruitment teams based on the availability of our officers. In addition to your core responsibilities, your role demands flexibility, as you are expected to maintain availability during Saturday interviews. This availability ensures that recruiters have the support they need in real-time, even if you are not tethered to a computer. Your reachability during this time is of utmost importance, as it allows for immediate problem-solving should any issues arise during Saturday interviews.
As the manager of HR Recruitment Officers, you are integral to the smooth functioning of our HR department. Your role necessitates close collaboration with other HR executives, including the HR Director, HR Training and Development Director, and the Chief Strategy Officer. Furthermore, you will provide regular weekly reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer, sharing insights and updates on your team's activities. To excel in this position, you should hold a relevant degree or possess substantial experience in the field of human resources. This will demonstrate your commitment to professional growth and development in this domain. While you enjoy a degree of autonomy in your work, your collaborative efforts with fellow HR managers and directors are essential to our success. Your activities will be subject to final approval by both the CHRO and the Chief Strategy Officer, ensuring alignment with our weekly and monthly strategic initiatives.

In-depth knowledge of human resources principles and practices: As a Human Resource Manager, it is essential to have a solid understanding of the principles and practices that guide effective recruitment and hiring processes. This includes understanding how to identify and evaluate the qualifications and experience of potential candidates, as well as how to develop and implement recruitment strategies.
Experience using LinkedIn and other recruitment tools and platforms: The ability to effectively use LinkedIn and other recruitment tools and platforms is crucial for ICPS’s Human Resource Recruiter. As HR Manager, guiding your team effectively on these tools to post job ads, communicate with potential hires, and maintain data related to candidates is crucial.
Strong communication skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for a Human Resource Manager, as the role involves frequent interaction with members and other stakeholders all around the world. This includes the ability to clearly convey information and ideas through speaking, writing, and listening, as well as the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
Proficiency with data management and reporting: As a Human Resource Manager, it is important to have strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately maintain data related to efficiency and recruitment policies. This may also involve preparing weekly reports and other documents, which requires proficiency with data management and presentation tools with strong usage of Google Drive.
Conflict resolution skills: A Human Resource Manager, you may encounter conflicts or challenges during the management process of recruitment officers, and it is important to have strong conflict resolution skills in order to effectively handle these situations. This includes the ability to identify the root cause of conflicts, communicate effectively with all parties involved, and work towards a resolution that is satisfactory to all parties.
What Are Our Requirements For The Position?
● Minimum 3 years of experience at human resources recruitment with a bachelor's of Psychology, Human Resource Management, International Relations or a related discipline. Masters degree desired but not mandotary.
● Extensive knowledge of human resources principles and practices, including recruiting, hiring, and employee relations. Management experience in human resources is strongly desired. Team management experience required.
● Proficiency in using LinkedIn and other recruitment tools and platforms to teach post job ads, screen candidates, and communicate with potential hires
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
● Strong analytical and assessment skills, with the ability to evaluate the qualifications and experience of potential candidates and make informed decisions about their suitability and sustainability for the organization
● Proficiency with data entry and reporting, including the ability to accurately maintain records related to members and prepare weekly reports using data analysis and presentation tools
● Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
● Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others, including HR consultants and other recruiters
● Adaptability and flexibility, including the ability to work on Saturdays with flexible shifts as needed
● Strong conflict resolution skills, with the ability to identify and effectively resolve conflicts or challenges that may arise during the recruitment process
● A desire to advance your career in the human resources field, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
● Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural, gender-based, religious, racial, national, and age differences, as well as a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
● The highest standards of integrity and discretion, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
