This is an excellent opportunity for a Product Specialist with a background in Product Design or Mechanical Engineering to join a collaborative international team, contributing to the design, development and delivery of innovative airport technologies.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will join the Design & Engineering team within the Passengers at Airports division, supporting the development of new self-service products from concept through to validation.

Working alongside Product Managers, Designers and Engineering teams, you will contribute across multiple stages of the product lifecycle, helping transform ideas into commercially viable products that are used in airports across the world.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development

• Support the development of new product concepts and innovative passenger self-service solutions.

• Contribute to product strategy through concept development and feature definition.

• Assist in translating customer and business requirements into practical product designs.

• Participate throughout the full product development lifecycle.

Product Design & Engineering

• Produce detailed product requirements and design specifications.

• Perform product design, design engineering and mechanical engineering activities.

• Create engineering models and technical documentation.

• Support design reviews and continuous product improvements.

Prototyping & Validation

• Design, build and validate product prototypes.

• Produce product visualisations, render and concept illustrations.

• Support testing and evaluation activities to validate design performance.

• Work closely with engineering teams to refine and optimise designs.

Sustainability & Innovation

• Apply research methodologies to improve product sustainability.

• Identify opportunities to enhance product quality, usability and manufacturability.

• Contribute ideas that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.

• Stay informed on emerging technologies, materials and design practices.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Management, Engineering and cross-functional delivery teams.

• Support stakeholder reviews and design workshops.

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Contribute to delivering products on time and to a high-quality standard.

What we are looking for

Essential Experience

• Background in Product Design, Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience working across product development or engineering projects.

• Hands-on experience with CAD and product design tools.

• Experience producing prototypes, renders and product visualisations.

• Strong understanding of design engineering principles.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications
