About the Role

At Akakçe, we operate web and mobile platforms used by millions of users. As our systems grow, release confidence,

test reliability, and automation quality become increasingly important.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will help us build and improve our quality platform, test automation

infrastructure, CI/CD test workflows, and engineering tools that support reliable releases across backend, web, and

mobile systems.

This is not a manual QA or test execution role. It is a software engineering role focused on building systems,

frameworks, tools, and practices that help engineering teams test better and release with confidence.

What You Will Do

Design, build, and improve test automation infrastructure for backend, web, and mobile systems.

Analyze the current automation framework and identify maintainability, reliability, and scalability problems.

Reduce flaky tests and improve the quality of test signals in CI/CD pipelines.

Build reusable test utilities, fixtures, mocks, data setup tools, and reporting mechanisms.

Help teams decide what should be tested at unit, API, integration, contract, UI, mobile, or end-to-end levels.

Improve test execution speed, stability, observability, and developer experience.

Work with backend, frontend, mobile, QA, SRE, and product teams to improve release confidence.

Review automation code and help define coding standards for test infrastructure.

Investigate failed tests, production defects, and release issues to identify root causes.

Support critical-flow automation for high-impact user journeys.

Help product engineers and QA engineers contribute to automation safely and consistently.

Continuously improve the balance between test coverage, maintenance cost, speed, and reliability.

What We Look For

Strong software engineering fundamentals.

Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable code.

Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.

Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks, internal tools, CI workflows, backend services,

web applications, or mobile applications.

Ability to reason about system behavior, data flow, edge cases, and failure scenarios.

Understanding of APIs, databases, logs, environments, and CI/CD pipelines.

Awareness of test pyramid principles and practical testing trade-offs.

Ability to distinguish valuable tests from noisy or expensive tests.

Strong ownership mindset and ability to improve existing systems incrementally.

Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Willingness to work on quality infrastructure as a serious engineering domain.

Useful Experience

Experience with some of the following is useful, but exact technology matching is not the main selection criterion:

Backend testing

API testing

Web UI automation

Mobile test automation

CI/CD pipelines

Git

SQL databases

Logging and monitoring tools

Test reporting tools

Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, NUnit, xUnit, pytest, or similar tools

NET, TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift, Python, or similar programming languages.

What This Role Is Not

It is not a manual test execution role.

It is not only writing test cases in Jira or TestRail.

It is not a release approval or process-control role.

It is not record-and-playback UI automation.

It is not just maintaining fragile scripts.
