Game Exploration Team Lead

As the Game Explorer Team Lead, you will coordinate a team responsible for collecting and analyzing player interaction data within free-to-play mobile games. You will balance people leadership, project coordination, and hands-on gameplay research to ensure the delivery of accurate, high-quality insights that support product and market intelligence initiatives. In this role, you will hire, train, and mentor Game Explorers, manage team priorities, improve data collection processes, and help drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate is passionate about mobile games, highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in leading teams and delivering results across multiple projects.

Work mode: hybrid – 3 days per week from the Wave Office in Gdansk or Unity Office in Krakow.

What You'll Do

• Hire & train new Game Explorers to maintain the operational efficiency & expertise of the Game Exploration group
• Manage division of project work across multiple Game Explorers
• Define new data collection templates for team to use to precisely record & organize gameplay data
• Play a wide variety of free-to-play mobile games every day
• Collect detailed gameplay data from multiple playthroughs about level progression, item types & costs, live ops events, sales & offer details, marketing messages, & similar
• Change gameplay behavior according to predefined playthrough scripts based on project needs & data collection objectives
• Reliably and proactively communicate with rest of Product Insights team, delivering time-sensitive data on schedule, on budget, and ensuring it meets quality requirements for every project

What We Are Looking For

• Passion for playing games – experience playing casual mobile games with in-app purchases daily is helpful
• Mentor – Experience hiring, onboarding, & training team members at different levels of expertise
• Planner – Experience coordinating & organizing multiple projects across multi-person teams
• Highly reliable – Excellent time management skills & attention to detail required
• Flexible – Ability to responds to changing project requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – both concise & precise – required
