IT Systems Specialist/Engineer

Job Resposnibility

1. Respond promptly to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
2. Follow systems ROTA and adhere to all operations shifts and SLA.
3. Participate in On-Call rotations to address critical infrastructure issues outside of regular business hours.
4. Proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks.
5. Administer and manage cloud services, virtual machines, databases, and other PaaS offerings on Azure and GCP
6. Monitor and optimize the performance of IT Systems services, ensuring reliability and responsiveness.
7. Manage and optimize cloud storage solutions, including object storage and file storage in Azure and GCP.
8. Maintain backup and recovery strategies.
9. Follow security best practices mandated by Information Security Assurance team.
10. Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other stakeholders.
11. Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
12. Generate reports on cloud system performance, security, and other relevant metrics.
13. Monitor resource utilization trends and conduct capacity planning to ensure the scalability of cloud infrastructure
14. Participate in periodic testing and drills to validate the effectiveness of the disaster recovery strategy.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

1. Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
2. Certification in Microsoft Azure and Google is preferred.
3. Minimum 3 years professional experience in IT Systems
4. Proven experience as a Systems Engineer with a focus on Azure and GCP.
5. Strong knowledge of cloud services, virtualization, and storage.
6. Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.
7. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator and Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect are a plus
