Web Developer

Position Overview:

As a Webdeveloper with SEO Technical Expertise, you’ll be in charge of the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our websites and digital assets. You’ll ensure optimal performance, security, and SEO best practices are consistently applied. Your role will blend technical SEO, website monitoring, content management, and cross-team collaboration to deliver top-tier digital experiences. Given the rise of AI-driven search technologies, a solid understanding or interest in learning about these innovations is highly valued. Additionally, you may be involved in building pages for both our organic and paid search sites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Familiarity with React JS and Gutenberg blocks is a plus, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and optimize the performance of the company’s websites, ensuring uptime, speed, and reliability.
• Implement technical SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings, including optimizing site structure, internal linking, and schema markup.
• Conduct website audits to identify and resolve SEO issues (e.g., crawl errors, duplicate content, broken links).
• Analyze web traffic and SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Microsoft Clarity
• Monitor and optimize site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure websites are built with SEO best practices in mind.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the website, including server errors, database performance, and site security.
• Regularly update and maintain the website CMS (WordPress, etc.).
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience managing websites with a strong focus on technical SEO.
• Expertise in using SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Microsoft Clarity or similar.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and other web technologies.
• Experience with website CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, or others).
• Understanding of website hosting, DNS, and CDN configuration.
• Ability to troubleshoot website issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with website security practices (SSL, HTTPS, malware prevention).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred:

• Certification in Google Analytics, SEO, or related fields.
• Experience analysing Microsoft Clarity or other related tools to gain insights into UX improvements
