As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend applications and cloud solutions. Working within an Agile development environment, you will leverage modern Microsoft technologies to build scalable, secure, and reliable software platforms while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core/.NET 6+
- Build scalable and secure RESTful APIs and microservices
- Develop clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices
- Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions
Cloud & Azure Engineering
- Build and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure
- Utilize Azure services such as:
- App Services
- Azure Functions
- Storage Services
- Service Bus
- Key Vault
- Optimize cloud solutions for scalability, resilience, and performance
DevOps & Automation
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
- Support automated testing, deployment, and release processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment practices
Performance & Reliability
- Monitor application performance and implement optimization strategies
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis
- Improve system reliability, availability, and maintainability
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and engineers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Contribute to a culture of innovation, engineering excellence, and continuous learning
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing software applications
- Strong expertise in:
- C#
- .NET Core
- ASP.NET Web API
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
- Experience building:
- RESTful APIs
- Microservices architectures
- Strong understanding of:
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- SOLID principles
- Design patterns
- Experience with:
- SQL Server
- Cosmos DB
- NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of:
- Azure DevOps
- GitHub Actions
- CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems
- Familiarity with:
- OAuth2
- Azure Active Directory
- Managed Identities
- Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as:
- Application Insights
- Log Analytics
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Exposure to IoT, connected systems, or smart building technologies
