About The Role

As a Senior iOS Developer, you will be responsible for the following.

This role sits within a technology function supporting a banking and finance environment, where mobile delivery is tightly integrated with broader platform, security, and regulatory requirements. You will work alongside international development teams to build and evolve customer facing mobile applications, while also contributing technical leadership and AI advisory input as the wider technology group expands its use of emerging AI capability.

• Building and contributing to the design of the mobile platform
• Designing, developing, reviewing, implementing, and managing application code and services for production and pre-release environments
• Participating in Agile software development, prototyping, and code review with international development teams to build mobile apps
• Understanding the requirements of the customer or business and using this knowledge to develop applications that are consistent
• Monitoring for and anticipating platform trends and upcoming critical changes
• Monitoring client feedback for problems and proactively scheduling resolutions where needed
• Working with delivery teams to achieve success through development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes and tooling
• Providing robust coding practices and solid unit and component test coverage, and code debugging
• Providing technical guidance and leadership to other development staff
• Contributing to the wider Technology department through emerging AI technologies, initiatives and AI advisory
  
  

Required Experience

• iOS development experience, Swift and Objective-C (5+ years)
• Strong hands on experience with SwiftUI
• Experience with architectural patterns, Clean Architecture, MVVM, MVP, MVC
• Strong awareness of the banking and finance industry, trends and threats, including technology, products, and regulatory environment
• Experience calling RESTful JSON services
• Experience with open source libraries such as Combine, RxSwift, and Swinject or similar dependency injection frameworks
• Experience writing highly tested code within a shared codebase and applying best practice principles and techniques agreed on by the wider team
• Experience working with CI/CD software development pipelines, including pipeline creation, maintenance and enhancements
• Experience working in Scrum and associated agile techniques
• Experience using Git for software version control
• Automated UI test development experience, XCTest and XCUITest
• Multi threaded development and debugging experience, GCD and Operation Queues
• Experienced across the full software delivery lifecycle, planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance

• Practical experience using AI tools in a professional or personal capacity
• Exposure to integrating AI or machine learning features into mobile applications, such as on device models, Core ML, or LLM powered app functionality
• Familiarity with AI assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor to accelerate coding and code review workflows
