💼 Senior AI Engineer & Python Developer | Python, FastAPI, LLMs, Agentic AI | Remote from Romania

At CrewHarbor, we connect companies with strong IT teams in Romania. For one of our established German clients, we are looking for a Senior AI Engineer & Python Developer to support the development of modern AI-driven products and backend services.

This role is a great match for someone who enjoys building practical AI solutions, shaping products in an early development phase, and connecting AI capabilities with real business processes and enterprise systems.

🚀 Your Responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered applications and backend services using Python
• Design and build scalable APIs with FastAPI
• Work on LLM-based solutions, AI automation, and agentic workflows
• Contribute to RAG-based systems and knowledge-driven AI applications
• Integrate AI services with enterprise systems through REST APIs
• Support the design of reliable backend architectures and data flows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical concepts, MVP development, and product evolution
• Evaluate and apply modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar tools
• Bring in ideas on how AI can automate and improve complex business processes

Your Profile

• Several years of professional experience in Python development
• Strong hands-on experience with backend development, APIs, and FastAPI
• Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, AI automation, or agent-based frameworks
• Good understanding of software architecture, system design, and API-driven integration
• Experience working with databases, especially SQL
• Familiarity with cloud environments; Azure experience is a plus
• Experience with enterprise integrations, REST APIs, or automation platforms is highly relevant
• DevOps knowledge, CI/CD experience, or containerization know-how is an advantage
• Degree in computer science, engineering, AI, data science, or comparable professional experience
• Fluent English; German is nice to have
