Role Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering assigned EPC projects and maintenance-related project works from planning through completion, commissioning, handover, and close-out. The role carries overall responsibility for project schedule, budget, resources, site execution, technical coordination, customer communication, safety, quality, and commercial follow-up. The Project Manager provides leadership to project engineers, site engineers, subcontractors, and vendors, while ensuring that projects are delivered safely, professionally, and in line with customer and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution
- Lead assigned EPC and maintenance-related projects for construction, commissioning till completion.
- Establish project execution plans, schedules and budgets.
- Monitor overall project, sites works, quality issues, and cost.
- Coordinate between engineering, construction, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and customer site teams.
- Review or coordinate review of drawings, technical submissions, method statements, material submissions, testing plans, and project documentation.
- Plan and oversee testing, flushing, pressure testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, and handover activities.
- Coordinate post-handover support with operations and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transition from project execution to plant operation or maintenance phase.
- Manage QA/QC, as-built drawings, test records, commissioning reports, operation and maintenance manuals, spare parts lists, and handover documents
- Review project reports, progress updates, look-ahead schedules, and management or customer updates .
- Maintain strong customer relationships .
- Coordinate with site engineers, internal team, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project delivery.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Environmental, or related discipline).
- 5 to 8 years' proven EPC, construction site, plant project, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or process plant experience, preferably with project lead or supervisory responsibility.
- Strong familiarity with EPC project workflows, project controls, site execution, engineering coordination, procurement coordination, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, specifications, method statements, project schedules, and commercial documents.
- Good leadership, customer communication, coordination, negotiation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, site teams, risks, and multiple project stakeholders.
- Practical knowledge of water treatment, wastewater treatment, UPW, RO, chemical dosing, pumps, piping, tanks, instruments, or related plant systems will be an advantage.
- Willing to work on site and support critical project phases, shutdowns, commissioning, and urgent project matters when required.
Work Location:
Site-based at EPC project sites and plant project locations, with office coordination as required.
