Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer – L1 to join our IT Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will provide first-level technical support for network-related issues, monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity problems, and assist with the installation and maintenance of network devices. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals who are looking to grow their careers in network engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance and respond to alerts.
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to L2/L3 engineers when necessary.
  • Perform routine network health checks and preventive maintenance.
  • Support network deployments, upgrades, and hardware replacements.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and network changes in the ticketing system.
  • Coordinate with vendors and onsite teams for hardware installations and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation and asset records.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, or similar networking technologies.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux networking fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Certifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Juniper JNCIA (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in network support or network operations.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant certifications and strong networking knowledge are encouraged to apply.
