DevOps Engineer

Lead DevOps | €90,000 - €100,000 + Benefits | Germany (100% Remote)

Are you ready to make an impact? As OPIA Associates is partnered with one of Germany's fastest growing employee benefits providers, who is seeking a Lead DevOps to support their ongoing transformation.

You will be the main focal point for all things DevOps, taking full responsibility of their Infrastructure and building their DevOps function from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

• Design the AWS infrastructure end-to-end
• Build a multi-stakeholder DevOps function from scratch
• Enable self-service tooling to empower product teams
• Define SLI/SLOs across critical services & optimize observability (Datadog)
• Lead/mentor a team of 3, supporting with code reviews and team alignment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field).
• 7+ years of relevant work experience in DevOps (at least 2 years in a leadership role)
• Deep understanding of modern architectural design
• Strong background across Cloud Infrastructure and deep understanding of AWS services
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• Problem solver who can balance technical excellence with business requirements
