Director - Development Real Estate - International Office

JOB PURPOSE:

Develop and implement real estate strategic plans, manage relationships with Sub-Developers and other stakeholders, lead international real estate project pipeline, ensure successful and timely completion of projects and provide regular updates on the performance of the real estate portfolio.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced International Real Estate Development Manager to lead our global real estate initiatives, drive strategic growth, and manage diverse portfolios. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our international real estate projects by overseeing planning, acquisitions, development, and asset performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic plans for real estate projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and optimal asset performance.
• Identify, evaluate, and lead international real estate investment opportunities.
• Manage international procurement processes, including leasing, contract negotiation, and agreements.
• Oversee property management activities such as maintenance, tenant services, and repairs.
• Conduct market research and portfolio performance analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Perform due diligence, financial analysis, and prepare business plans for real estate projects.
• Ensure compliance with property laws, zoning regulations, and environmental standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, serving as the primary contact for project progress.

People Management Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Provide resources and training to enhance team capabilities and productivity.
• Promote a balanced workload and a positive team culture.

Strategic Responsibilities:

• Define and execute a comprehensive real estate development vision and strategy.
• Develop portfolio, marketing, and risk management strategies to maximize growth and mitigate risks.
• Optimize resource allocation and implement sustainable practices for real estate projects.
• Stay ahead of market trends and regulatory changes to ensure competitiveness and innovation.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Educational and Technical Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field is required. Master's degree is a plus
• Professional certifications in Project Management (PMP), Real Estate Development, or related fields are advantageous.

Language Skills:

• English & Arabic Fluent (both written and verbal).
• Knowledge of additional languages is highly advantageous.

Years of Experience:

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role.

Nature of Experience:

• Extensive experience in real estate development and project management.
• Knowledge of international laws and regulations.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including IRR calculations and project feasibility assessment.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and partners.
• Proficiency in project management and financial analysis tools.
• Successful track record in managing complex projects and international change management.
