Job Introduction

You will be developing a leading communication and collaboration platform that serves large public safety control rooms, aiming for a continuously growing set of functionalities to support the needs requested by our police, ambulance and fire brigade customers.

Our Scrum teams are a mix between developers and automation testers who ensure end-to-end commitment over the sprint backlog – stories are implemented and tested in an automated way in the same sprint. Aside from the “scrum of scrums”, the teams collaborate and align through frequent design and refactoring meetings, that target both the source code and automation tests.

Key Tasks

• Communicating effectively with stakeholders at different levels inside and outside the company
• Being part of a mature cross-functional SCRUM team, always looking to apply the best practices from the industry
• Designing and developing front-end solutions optimized for maximum speed and scalability
• Creating high-quality mock-ups and designing prototypes
• Implementing back-end solutions for specific customer requirements on a common product platform (microservices, event driven architecture, domain driven design)
• Working closely with developers and test automation engineers in order to ensure the best quality of the delivery
• Applying best practices and various design patterns
• Practicing TDD, applying clean code principles, following strict code quality standards.
• Participating in design, code review and refactoring sessions
• Analysing, assessing the impact and fixing various functional and non-functional issues
  
  

Key Qualifications

• Domain knowledge in public safety application or operation (police, fire, ambulance) is an advantage
• Available for travelling, if necessary
• Good English knowledge, both written and verbally
• Experience with microservices and event driven architecture is an advantage
• Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience with Java and Java 11 specific features (streams, lambdas, etc)
• Good knowledge of browser troubleshooting, debugging practices and performance analysis
• Experience with Node.js
• Proficient understanding of client-side programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience
